ADA Samuel D. Jandt Nominated for 2025 MADD New Mexico Honoring Heroes Banquet Outstanding Criminal Justice Prosecutor

The First Judicial District Attorney’s Office is proud to announce Assistant District Attorney Samuel D. Jandt nomination for the 2025 Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Honoring Heroes Banquet Outstanding Criminal Justice Prosecutor Award. MADD’S statewide recognition highlights ADA Jandt’s experience as a skilled prosecutor and his dedication to holding impaired drivers accountable.

MADD New Mexico deeply values our law enforcement heroes who serve as the first line of defense in the fight to end drunk and impaired driving, which remains a statewide crisis,” said Flor Bernal, Regional Executive Director at MADD. “Impaired driving has severe consequences and claims one too many lives. We are proud to support the tireless – and often thankless – work of our law enforcement leaders, particularly prosecutors, who go above and beyond to ensure impaired drivers are held responsible for their actions. We extend our congratulations to ADA Jandt on his nomination and look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with the FJDA.

MADD’s Honoring Heroes Banquet annually recognizes law enforcement officers, prosecutors, first responders, and professionals who demonstrate their dedication and service in the fight against impaired driving.  The FJDA’s collaboration with law enforcement partners is critical in preventing tragedies caused by impaired driving, and Jandt’s nomination is a testament to how working together can strengthen the community’s public safety and underscores the importance of this shared mission.

The FJDA congratulates ADA Samuel D. Jandt on his well-earned recognition and thanks MADD New Mexico for its continued partnership in supporting victims and promoting safer communities.
